Thanksgiving at the Benton's. We also had a second Thanksgiving with Gma and Gpa Maloney, (but forgot the camera).

Nell cooked for about 12 hours. She's crazy (to our benefit).



Anna made a cake to celebrate Nell and my birthday. So sweet. We haven't had a home made birthday cake in years!

First Professional Photos

These photos did not come around easily. We had to cancel two sessions with our photographer, once due to weather and the other due to Bob's grandmother's death. We finally made it through the 1 and 1/2 hour session with Anna, Nikolai and Helena, using food bribery, funny faces, begging and pleading, only to have our photographer accidentally erase all the pictures. So, we went in again and redid the shoot. We are happy with the outcome and despite all the tears (babies) and headaches (parents).

Fall in the Woods

I will never tire of these woods a block down the road from our house. We are so lucky to live by acres of natural land yet within five miles of downtown. Housing market is terrible, but I think we are stuck in the right place.
